  Thanksgiving

Just returned from a Thanksgiving holiday visit with family. I got to see Duke and Memphis State play in a NIT Tournament in the Garden. The first game with Drexel and UCLA was better. As an American I had the opportunity to have a wonderful time and I did. My wife's family is loving. The kids were inspiring.

I also spoke with family members about Iraq, Afghanistan and the War on Terror. They are tired.

I am not. To defeat terrorism, we must fight to the end. I know liberals will want to use exhaustion as the reason to cut and run. That is their core belief--cut and run. Rub exhaustion into every wound. Don't you feel it? Of course, we, the liberals, can make it feel better. Oh, those bad feeling after Vietnam, it will go away, because we made it stop. Our soldiers came home and we ended that horrible war. That disaster.

Of course, millions of human beings were slaughtered by what we left behind. Mothers, fathers, and children. Slaughtered. A mother, father or a child got a bullet in the head or got to watch the other violated by rape, sodomy or blessed murder. That is the liberal legacy of South Vietnam. Murder, all in the name of peace. Humanitarians got people killed, actual human beings, all in the name of peace. Why dontcha give peace a chance? And spit on those that fought and came home.

Of course, the humanitarians don't want to discuss Pol Pot, Cambodia, Chinese cleasning, the killing fields, and all the whores created by the caring government of North Vietnam because women couldn't feed their babies. They threw off the yoke of American imperialism!!!! They intellectually won the debate. They just forgot about the people. They killed them. They are responsible for their murder.

Total victory in Iraq and Afghanistan is my core belief. Those opposed will ask what is total victory. Thay have to. They want a marginal loss. It would validate their thinking and their goals. America succeeding is a world at loss, because America is not always right, in fact, historically America is a bully. In short, to be a victor, through might or righteousness is wrong, because the loser, the little guy is always right. Thus, America, the strong guy, must be wrong. Gee, Guatemala is tapping their foot and getting antsy, just waiting for that "I'm next" place in line. Think Che.

What is victory? Victory is a place where terrorists pause and then realize that America will not stop. Victory is where we will hunt and kill them where ever they live and breed. Just as Christians and Muslims breed children that do good, terrorists breed children that kill, maim and destroy life. Terrorists, not Muslims, terrorists--that breed of worthless murders, are the darlings of the media. A breed of religion burglars that heist a religion, call it their own, and slaughter people in its name. I really hope we hunt them, kill them and tell future generations it will not happen again. In fact, try it and a guy from Kansas who just wants a pickup truck will hunt you down and kill you. He will, because he knows what you do is wrong. And, he is right.

No deep thought here, but what if we defeat terrorism on the playing field of their or our choice? Kill the leaders of terrorism? Destroy their base?

Isn't that what we are doing. Every day we kill Saudi's, Yemeni's, Syrian's, and on and on. The media wants to exclaim that the lack of victory is defeat. What horseshit. The media couldn't find its own heel if they poured the piss out of their own boot. They are stupid. Yes, they have an agenda, but who is listening, outside of DU and koskiddies. Nobody.

I am a quasi-Christian. Merry Christmas means something to me, so does prayer. Does Israel mean a thing to me? You bet. Biblically and stratregically. Those that now cry about the Palestians, you're a day late and a dollar short. Also, you are just a few minutes shy of screaming about whatever new "issue" you hear about. When you're bored, maybe you can find a reason to bitch about whatever the new "issue" is. You do not care about a child who only wants to be free, let alone a people that want to breathe the wonder of freedom. The cost is too high for you

People need their own. Arafat, before AIDs, put pride before living or thinking. Sharon puts sense before victory and western leaders put stupid before sense.

Get it right. Israel will exist in a form that will allow it to prosper and grow stronger. Palestine will find a home. Maybe the middle east will help, but so far middle eastern governments are jerking off and strutting their stuff, which ain't much.

Arafat was a terrorist. Now we have a few more terrorists, but they are dying by our bullets every day. That was the reason for the invasion of Iraq. To kill those that want to kill us, as well as other folks and to kill jihadists that want to kill common reason. It is not wrong to kill those that want to kill us and want to kill a plan to solve problems, no matter their skin color or their nationalistic fever.

It is so funny that twenty years ago we heard how Israel was a moral imperative and now we hear from the same people that Palistine is a moral imperative. Ben Hur vs. Exodus.

These proclaimers are losers. Hell, they are killers of hope. Killers of the future. Killers of peace.

  Lieberman - NeoCon?
Well, he is a Jew which means you can't trust him!

I have just returned from my fourth trip to Iraq in the past 17 months and can report real progress there. More work needs to be done, of course, but the Iraqi people are in reach of a watershed transformation from the primitive, killing tyranny of Saddam to modern, self-governing, self-securing nationhood--unless the great American military that has given them and us this unexpected
opportunity is prematurely withdrawn. . . .

Here is an ironic finding I brought back from Iraq. While U.S. public opinion polls show serious declines in support for the war and increasing pessimism about how it will end, polls conducted by Iraqis for Iraqi universities show increasing optimism. Two-thirds
say they are better off than they were under Saddam, and a resounding 82% are confident their lives in Iraq will be better a year from now than they are today. What a colossal mistake it would be for America's bipartisan political leadership to choose this moment in history to lose its will and, in the famous phrase, to seize defeat from the jaws of the coming victory.

I cannot understand people who do not understand how the media has altered our country's view of the war. They media has. They have altered our view to fit theirs and their editorial boards. Their views are anti-war, but also, I think, mixed with an anti-authoritarian view mixed with their hatred for President Bush. Bush can never be good enough because he is a Republican, the son of a Republican president, he feels the authority of his office, and his self evident reality which are based in a Judeo-Christian view of right and wrong. WOW, that pisses off the reality based wicca set. That and he is a male WASP. Ironic? You betcha. It stings.

Little Joey Biden Time

Cutting to the bone once again,
Joseph Biden has forcefully stated our reason to cut and run while staying the course. A stellar performance, once again, from one of the foremost purveyors of nuanced logic serving in the senate.

Our large military presence [in Iraq] -- while still the only guarantor against a total breakdown -- is increasingly counterproductive.
It goes without saying that a total breakdown just might be counterproductive, but then I am a finish-what-you-started-type-of-guy. Does that still play in DC?

Bush Lied, Gadzillions Died

Clinton Justice Department's 1998 report:

al-Qaida reached an understanding with the Government of Iraq that al-Qaidawould not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al-Qaida would work cooperativelywith the Government of Iraq.
2002 George Tenet (appointed WJC-Hillary's husband) :

We have solid reporting of senior-level contacts between Iraq and al-Qaida going back a decade.

Okay, everyone was right except GWB. Right?

Boston - Bunker Hill Would be Proud

The city of Boston no longer loves Christmas. In fact, christmas is just another holiday, say like labor day or love a lawyer day or maybe People for the American Way Day. boston's christmas should stir no more meaning than Boxer Day in Canada, er, maybe canada should dumb down boxer day so as not to eclipse boston's holiday and their holiday tree, because, you know christ and christmas have nothing to do with each other. That would be intolerant.

Besides, acknowledging all of the Islamic holidays and feasts show how tolerant we are. I'd hate to be intolerant of Richard Pearl's murderers and the religion they say gives them the right, excuse me, the obligation to kill. Sawed off heads is a much better symbol of love than a silly old christ. If offended, they may go after Jews next. To celebrate Ramadan or Muharram.

Hillary Clinton - Part of the Bush Lie?

Undisputedly?

[Saddam] Has Also Given Aid, Comfort, And Sanctuary To Terrorists, Including Al-Qaida Members, Though There Is Apparently No Evidence Of His Involvement In The Terrible Events Of September 11, 2001. ... This Much Is Undisputed.

Wesley Clark - Part of the Bush Lie?

There's no question that Saddam Hussein is a threat... Yes, he has chemical and biological weapons. He's had those for a long time. But the United States right now is on a very much different defensive posture than we were before September 11th of 2001... He is, as far as we know, actively pursuing nuclear capabilities, though he doesn't have nuclear warheads yet. If he were to acquire nuclear weapons, I think our friends in the region would face greatly increased risks as would we. -- Wesley Clark on September 26, 2002

Biden is a FOOL on C-Span

He couldn't make as a Presidential candidate. Hell, he couldn't make as a reasonable spokesman for our government. What a total fool. What a complete idiot.

If we don't deploy home, we are wrong. If we deploy home,
we're doing it too soon, let me check my poll. Murtha is right, but maybe I speak too soon.

Oh, I forgot to say, we have forgotten the Iraqi people,
because the American people want to succeed. What?

I cannot listen anymore. This guy couldn't empty a litter box. At least Brian Wilson is aware that he is a liar. Biden, like the Energizer Bunny, keeps yapping, on and on. God, please stop, your a weaker and more stupid Harry Reid.

  Soldiers Setting Policy
Grant, Hayes, Eisenhower, Murtha?

Many, if fact, the great majority, of soldiers have provided a great service to their country. While being a great soldier requires great training and the ability to think strategically and tactically, many soldiers fail in the policy arena of politics. They do so because government, diplomacy and policy were never part of their military background. If they disagree with their commander, they can speak their piece. If their input is rejected, that is the end of it, no second guessing, no hesitation, just action and the after-action report. If a soldier rewrites the reasoning and the history of that military action in the after-action report, he is branded for what he is, unworthy of further consideration and shunned for breaking the military code of ethics.

Before agreeing to the resolution, Murtha said he aired his concerns in a 45-minute meeting with Vice President Cheney, along with a short conversation with Bush during the signing of federal legislation for the Flight 93 memorial.

"I was more than a little apprehensive," Murtha said.
"I was concerned about the direction they were going. I was criticizing them about the way they were going to war without consulting Congress, without consulting the United Nations."

Murtha said he agreed to the resolution only after certain concessions were made.

"The military didn’t feel confident, Secretary Powell felt the same way I did, and our allies were saying you have to do this through the U.N.," Murtha said.

Murtha said the weapons inspections have to take place by
March, before the sweltering desert summer would make it unbearable for ground troops to wear protective gas masks.

After making a trip to Iraq in August, Murtha said he’s convinced Saddam has biological and chemical weapons of mass destruction. But Murtha said the Iraqi ruler has yet to develop a way to deliver the weapons for possible terrorist attacks
against the United States and abroad.

If Saddam doesn’t give in as Murtha suspects he will, Murtha said an attack "will not be a long war" but will require more than 200,000 ground troops and solid support from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Kuwait and other allies. (emphasis mine)

Besides being wrong on a number of points listed above, Murtha is rewriting the reasoning and the history of his vote in his "after-action" report which he aired before Congress, the American public, the world, and the soldiers he calls comrades. A poor way to instill confidence in and to support his comrades in harm's way.

Kucinich - Fraud Means Never Having To Say Your Sorry
or Their Lying Hearts

John Cole takes some heat from some KosKiddies for misrepresenting the real patriot's positions about our (un)just war on terror. Let's look at "Dennis the Menace" and his consistent position and his unwillingness to allow Cheney, et al, to bribe him into submission.

I will vote against this resolution because it is a fraud. What
more does anyone need to know, but that the sponsor himself has called for the defeat of his own proposition? If his real intention were to bring our troops home right now, why would he vote against his own resolution? Wake up
America.

“The American people are fed up with politicians
who
say one thing and do another
. Every one of conscience and
intelligence knows the magnitude of withdrawing 150,000 troops requires a plan, and a sincere legislative effort.

“The American people deserve a real debate on Iraq: Where are the WMDs? Where is Osama Bin Laden? What did Iraq have to do with 9/11?

November 3, 2003

Kucinich brought the most applause with his call for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. The exit strategy that he released on his Web site calls for a new United Nations resolution to relinquish all of the Iraqi oil assets to the UN and give them the responsibility for creating a new government for Iraq, instead of leaving it under U.S. authority.

Backing Down

Kucinich, bowing to pressure, did not call for an end to the war in his much anticipated Democratic National Convention speech.

November 12, 2003

Opinion polls list him as a long shot, but Rep. Dennis Kucinich is making waves as he campaigns for the Democratic nomination for president. He calls for an immediate withdrawal from Iraq, an end to NAFTA, and for universal health care. Join host Neal Conan and candidate Kucinich for a discussion.

Who's your fraud now, Daddy?

  Bush Lied? The World Lied?

Harry Reid wants to know! Close de Senate. Close de Senate.

What is at stake is how to answer the potential threat Iraq represents with the risk of proliferation of WMD. Baghdad's regime did use such weapons in the past. Today, a number of evidences may lead to think that, over the past four years, in the absence of international inspectors, this country has continued armament programs. Jacques Chirac, October 16, 2002

General, from reliable sources, I believe the Iraqis are hiding chemical and biological weapons. King Abdullah of Jordan

If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program. President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

General Franks, you must be very, very careful. We have spoken with Saddam Hussein. He is a madman. He has WMD -
biologicals, actually - and he will use them on your troops. Hozni
Mubarek, President of Egypt - January 27, 2003

Come on guys, you know Bush lied. Don't ya? I mean Harry and Teddy wouldn't play politics with our troops in the field! Would they? Lie?
Fourth Estate, Fifth Column and Lord HaHa's Homeboys

The Viceroy of Vodka has up an important piece about the unmentioned components of the war.

It means, fighting a media war. It means, turning the enemy's one great strength into our own. Broadcast words, sounds, and images are the arm of decision in today's world.

And if that assessment is correct, then we're losing this war and badly.

And he would be correct.
While (why does) the Left Lies?

What about enhancing this war, Senator Kerry. What are your thoughts on going further than Afghanistan, all terrorist places ..."

KERRY: "Oh, I think we clearly have to keep the pressure on terrorism globally. This doesn't end with Afghanistan by any imagination. And I think the president has made that clear. I think we have made that clear. Terrorism is a global menace. It's a scourge. And it is absolutely vital that we continue, for instance, Saddam Hussein. CNN's "Larry King Live," 12/14/01

I worked in politics. I did hear some whoppers. When they happened on our side of the ticket, we cleaned it up if the source was already a candidate. Prior to a candidacy, we vetted the candidates ourselves. Skeletons rattle and it was a given that reporters would listen at the keyhole of every Republican candidate while wearing earmuffs while walking the Democrat wing. Right now the press rooms on Capitol Hill and the editorial boards of all the major dailies are buying earmuffs by the gross.

My mother always said, "If you tell the truth, you won't have to remember what you said". McChimp Bushaters must hate the internet and blogs. Too bad they didn't have my mother around. She was a beautiful woman.

  Joseph Irony Wilson

No longer is there a quest for the truth so much as there is this apparent need to present both sides of an issue even if one is nothing but lies and distortions. Giving the same value to fiction as to fact in the interest of so-called fairness is to mislead the American people and the press has become party to that.

And the KosKiddies all nodded in unison as their Fountain of Truth,
fuming with the fire of Truth, scribbled. Fountains are like that sometimes.

Can't pull the hood over this boy's eyes

The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retained some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capability. Intelligence reports also indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons, but has not yet achieved nuclear capability. -- Robert Byrd, October 2002

  HAMMERSWING75

A new blog, for me, says it well. I will read it often!

Congressional Republicans have put on a truly pathetic performance for the last several years. Spending keeps going up because of the Farm Bill, the Highway Bill and a Prescription Drug Benefit. Are we trying to buy the votes of farmers, signposts and elderly drag addicts? The issues are more nuanced than that, but the Republicans in Congress need to pay more attention to their real, as opposed to potential constituencies. Yes, it seems like a great idea to capture the center by stealing Democrat thunder (Federal meddling in education, health care, subsidies). The problem being that sometimes that thunder erupts in your own hands and blows off your ears. Political compromise is necessary, but Republicans too often emulate the French by declaring surrender before fighting.

Yeah, but we have a pretty Maginot Line with great kitchens and all the comforts, now that we have the power. We're safe. Aren't we?
Did the President lie even back then?

If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons-of-mass-destruction program. William J. Clinton, 1998

Personally, I suspect Rove or the International Zionist Cabal.
If you can't win the vote, don't just whine, question the process

While debate still rages over Ohio's stolen presidential election of 2004, the impossible outcomes of key 2005 referendum issues may have put an electronic nail through American democracy.

Once again, the Buckeye state has hosted an astonishing display of electronic manipulation that calls into question the sanctity of America's right to vote, and to have those votes counted in this crucial swing state.
This is part of the disinformation mantra being pounded out by the left. De Vote! De Vote! De Vote has been stolen. These accusers are just like the "ladies" who constantly point out how strange it is that a child has red hair when, dontchaknow, no one I know in the family has ever had red hair! The child must be illegitimate! Thus Bush is illegitimate, the "Reform Ohio Now" vote is illegitimate and, now that you bring it up, the War on Terror is illegitimate!
Hint, polls do not decide elections, votes do. Though, I think I did hear black Diebold helicopters over my house last night. It was kinda dark.

  Instapundit addresses revisionism

The administration's overarching point is true: Intelligence agencies overwhelmingly believed that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, and very few members of Congress from either party were skeptical about this belief before the war began in 2003. Indeed, top lawmakers in both parties were emphatic and certain in their public statements. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6859893

The War on Terror, i.e., WWIII.

Culling the thoughts of my family and friends, I have tried to succinctly place in my brain, their thoughts about the War on Terror. It is impossible. Being who they are and the disparate paths they have traveled through the world, they thoughts are all over the board. I can place a few thoughts, though not a listed priority of their thoughts concerning the War on Terror;

Little Bush’s revenge.
Big Bush’s fault.
What do you mean a lie? Yeh, like the newspapers are going to lie!
Bush said WMD and there are none. Period!
I’m tired of hearing about it.
Lies, lies, lies. I thought Kerry pointed that out. Are you incapable of listening?
Jews. If Israel can’t defend themselves, then maybe it is time for them to go.
Geez, Bush can’t even kick Iraq’s ass, anticipate Katrina or keep our gas prices down.

There are other variations, but the above mainly covers their pronouncements. These comments didn’t come from deep discussions or intense debates. They came from people I know and love who offered an opinion when asked. That is why I am so depressed. Shallow thinking in the shallow end of the pool isn’t exactly an Olympic sport; it is more an ABC, CBS and NBC sport’s special with Brent Musburger giving color and thoughtful insight about nothing of interest.

I used to answer that the world’s intelligence agencies and virtually all of our politicians agreed that Sodamned Insane had to go. That he held WMDs and would use them again. That terror had to be fought where it grows, not where it blows, and on and on. Now, I just pray each night for the safety of our soldiers and for their success against these monsters. I pray that if this is their Jihad, then I want their Jihad destroyed, smashed and crushed to never rise again. If this terror is but a small part of a peaceful Islam, then let Islam help us root it out and kill it. Now, I just make a snarky comment about those Joooos in the Whitehouse, just to watch their normally tolerant faces turn red.

There are those that say that Iraq is Vietnam II. Bullshit. I lived through that era. Did I march? Yep, because I knew we weren’t going to be allowed to win and I usually marched alone. We were winning in Vietnam and kicking our own ass here at home. To that degree, Iraq is becoming another Vietnam. The press is reprising its roll as the Tokyo Rose of Vietnam, dusting of all the reporting that turned our citizens against that war’s goal of denying communist expansion and replaced it with a nefarious goal of gutting Southeast Asia for its resources. Didn’t you think “No blood for oil” sounded just a little familiar?

These are just my thoughts. I know I’m just from a red state, but I think those here in Ohio that wish we were more like NYC are just as stupid as those in NYC that think we should be more like France. I came to a realization when I did work for many years in NYC that the biggest snobs in Manhattan were from little places like Arkansas or went to good, but Podunk colleges like Frostburg. They had to think that way to deny their past. I found the same in my work in DC. Little people trying to be big fish in a better pond just out of their reach. It was sad then, and now that our country is in grave danger from without and within, it is sadder.

I do not think it is little Bush’s revenge. It is his noble calling.
It may be big Bush’s fault in that he didn’t kill the bastard back then.
I do believe news outlets lie every day.
There were WMDs. Where did they go?
I’m tired of the bitching. If all we do is free 30+million people, good!
I am capable of listening; I just chose not to believe Kerry’s lies.
I am loosely called a Christian and I will stand by the Jews in Israel forever.
We are kicking the terrorist’s ass in Iraq, we did anticipate Katrina, but LA didn’t, and despite Saudi Soros’ attempts, our gas prices are coming down.

Oh, another bad habit, I love my wife and children. Very much.

Voting amongst those that do not live here II

Voting is not only a celebration of liberty here, it is also a social event. Friends talk to one another, new friends are made, and families get together.

Last presidential here in our small village the locals were swamped by the students of the university in town. People were informed that it would be hours until they got to vote and it was already 9:00 PM. Familes with children were the first to leave. Then the elderly. Then frustrated individuals.

Not the students. They had professors walking the halls and the sacristry of the church where students stood or sat. At one point a student started swearing and I reminded him he was in a church. He replied, "Fuck you, it's a voting station tonight". As I stood to walk towards him, a professor asked to speak to him and he walked away.

Unscientifically, I would estimate that 40% of the local voters left without voting that evening. That left a large number of students from other states to vote for national offices, state offices, local offices, and local issues.

Was it organized? Yes. Do I have proof? No, but I was a student once and I knew what was going on. Funny, all the complaints about voting in Ohio never mentioned our village or any of the other cities, towns and villages around the state which are/were home to colleges and universities.

I'll see if it is the same this election with Deform Ohio Now issues 2, 3, 4, & 5 on the ballot.

DEFORM OHIO NOW

“Reform Ohio Now”. I want Ohio to stop being Ohio. I mean why should we Buckeyes decide our own fate when intellectually superior gazillionaires and morally smug groups can decide for us?

Just think for a second, if we had their guidance in 2004 we would not have re-elected President Bush. We would have to hold our breath to be blue. We would have missed the Tubbs-Jones hissy fit duet with Boxer at the certification dance, but that was worth the price of admission and a corsage.

Let us see what we might gain with issues 2, 3, 4, and 5:

1. Voter Fraud – Cleveland style - could be statewide
2. More dead people could vote absentee more often
3. Simplicity, Only one Republican district stretching from Cleveland to Cincinnati using the median in Rt 71
4. George Soros might double his cash flow into Ohio politics
5. Even more out of state petitioners in our next election, maybe sum edercated babes

  Down the Road

Time was, even partisans would work together in Congress. Sure, politics has always been hard. Its been hard from Adams (the 1st) on until today. Just ask Jefferson, Lincoln and FDR. Though gutter dwellers tried to nip at the heels of greatness, that greatness generally held because of the integrity of the Congress. All Presidents have had their detractors, but the detractors were known for what they were and wielded little power. Yes, from the middle towards the end of the 18th century Congress wielded too much power, but they directed the country forward.

Today, Reid and his cabal invoked Rule 21 closing our Senate from us for their own gain. These unruly babies of the far left, led by the likes of Kennedy, Boxer, Schumer and Reid, have bent and now, are willing to break our form of government simply to regain their power to bribe and blackmail the populace to keep them in that power.

The republicans have forgotten how to act like Republicans. In fact, they are building bridges to a place called nowhere so they can act like the far left to solidify their republican power. The party has forgotten what Republicans stand for. Soon they will pay for it. Unfortunately, we the people, will ultimately pay for it both figuratively and literally.

I disagree with many things that President Bush has done, but Reagan's 80% commandment still stands, plus I truly believe President Bush has done far more good for our country.

We, as a country, must win the war on terrorism. We, as a country, must not only cut our budget (and pork), but also drastically cut our bureaucracy. We, as a country must also break the backs of those that use their personal hatred and mendacity to tear down our President, thus our country, as a means to their end.

The loyal opposition has been an honored place and a necessity in our country. The far left, let's be honest, they're progressives which is another way to spell socialist, are wrong in their goals and they are wrong in their means to achieve their goals. As a country, let us marginalize them once again, to back alleys and the posh suites of the smug elite.

Give us our Senate back Mr. Reid
It isn't true the victor writes the history. Losers are, as we speak, scribbling fast.
